ACT Policing is investigating a single vehicle collision off Kirinari Street, Belconnen today (Saturday, 20 September).
About 10am this morning, security at the University of Canberra discovered a car that had crashed into a building on campus. It appears the collision occurred sometime overnight.
A young man believed to be in his 20’s was the single occupant of the vehicle.
ACT Ambulance and ACT Fire and Rescue attended the scene but the driver was already deceased.
ACT Policing’s Collision Investigation and Reconstruction Team are investigating the incident and will prepare a report for the Coroner.
This is the ninth person to have died on ACT roads this year
