Five Christian leaders arrested following prayer vigil in Zed Seselja’s offices

love makes a way

FIVE Christian leaders including a 70 year old Catholic Nun have been arrested after holding a prayer vigil calling for children being held in immigration detention to be released in Liberal Senator Zed Seselja’s electoral office.

The group was holding a peaceful prayer vigil inside Senator Zed Seselja’s office, but the Senator was so otherwise engaged today that he was unable to meet them.

The “Love Makes A Way” group had spent the day in prayerful protest, and asked “when will the 789 children and their families be released from detention?”

There is a Flickr photostream of today’s events by the group.
