THE Transport Workers’ Union has called off their planned strike action while they continue to negotiate with SITA.
“The ACT Government has been advised by the Transport Workers Union (TWU) that industrial action will not take place today or tomorrow following a meeting of its members earlier this morning,” said Acting Director, ACT NOWaste, David Roberts.
“While union members did not accept SITA’s latest offer, they have agreed to further negotiations and in turn called off industrial action this week.”
ACT NOWaste advise they have an app for Apple and Android phones called “My Waste” to keep up to date with collections.
