Firefighters are currently on scene at Charles Conder Primary School, Tom Roberts Avenue, Conder, working to isolate a gas leak.
Approximately 330 students and staff have been evacuated as a precaution.

Crews have now isolated the gas leak.
ACT Fire & Rescue is ventilating the area and conducting atmospheric monitoring before allowing staff and students to return.
9:21am
Firefighters remain on scene at the school.
Gas leak occurred in the school gymnasium.
Staff and students will shortly be permitted to return to another area of the school not affected by the gas leak.
ACT Fire & Rescue has two fire pumpers on scene, the Hazardous Materials Unit and one Commander.
9:57am
ACT Fire & Rescue has departed the scene.
Cause of gas leak deemed accidental and most likely from a heating source.
Contractors are on site to conduct repairs.
