A BONYTHON man was arrested yesterday after police searched a house in Wanniassa and found a gun, sword and knife, along with a small bag they believed to contain methylamphetamine.
Police officers from the southside Crime Reduction Unit arrived at the house to conduct the search at 6.20am and seized a glass smoking pipe and a small amount of a white crystalline substance.
A police firearms expert indentified a .32 calibre revolver and ammunition, which was seized, along with a sword, knife, computer, a safe and some cash.
The 32-year-old man was the arrested and charged with firearms offences as well as possession of drugs and stolen property.
He was scheduled to face ACT Magistrates Court this morning.
