Gungahlin’s recycling centre opens its doors

Shane Rattenbury opens gungahlin recycling centre

SHANE Rattenbury has done the honours to officially open the new Gungahlin Recycling Drop Off Centre.

“This is a timely addition to Canberra’s current recycling network and is intended to help residents and small businesses recycle more, reduce the amount of waste that goes to landfill and ultimately conserve the diminishing landfill space,” Shane said.

“The facility comprises a cage for paper and cardboard recycling and hoppers for glass jars and bottles, rigid plastic containers, milk and juice cartons, aluminium cans and steel cans (including aerosols).”

If you’re confused about what goes where there’s a waste app for smartphones and tablets, just search for “My Waste”.
