More health money for Women’s Youth and Children’s services

katy

KATY Gallagher and Andrew Barr have announced $10.7 million in funding in the 2014-15 Budget for the expansion and enhancement of Women’s Youth and Children services.

“$8.8 million will be provided for the expansion of services and $1.9 million to enhance current services for Women, Youth and Children. This continued investment will see high quality health services continue to be delivered in both the hospital setting and in the community,” Katy said.

“This additional funding forms part of the 2012 commitment to provide $29.5 million over four years to open more beds in the Centenary Hospital for Women and Children and increase access to outpatient services and community based women and children’s services.”
