IT may only be an incremental improvement to the phone they already have.
It may only be implementing features largely already found in existing Android phones.
But that hasn’t stopped hundreds of people queuing for the new iPhone 6 in the Canberra Centre today.
On the one hand it’s touching to see such enthusiasm, on the other hand startling that people place so little value on their time.
UPDATE: Meanwhile “CityNews” reader Alyce has told us there were easier ways to get the fruity phone in Canberra today:
Belconnen was really easy, waited about 60 seconds. I would have been happy to put my name on a waiting list or something because I wasn’t super fussed, but walked past Optus at 9.30 and the place was only a little busier than normal and with plenty of staff.
Who can be trusted?
In a world of spin and confusion, there’s never been a more important time to support independent journalism in Canberra.
If you trust our work online and want to enforce the power of independent voices, I invite you to make a small contribution.
Every dollar of support is invested back into our journalism to help keep citynews.com.au strong and free.
Thank you,
