swans on lake burley griffin

SYDNEY may lay claim to being the emerald city, but Canberra’s Lake Burley Griffin is really getting into the spirit of autumnal colour.

The whole central basin appears to be glorying in the algae outbreak which is a distressing change from the natural colour of Australian waterways, dark brown.
