ARE you in a pickle?

Do you have a glut of carrots and no idea what to do with them? Head down to the Canberra Environment Centre’s Pickling and Fermenting workshop on Saturday the October 4 and all of your problems will be pickled away!

The accomplished Jane McIntyre will walk you through how to pickle and ferment beetroot and carrots, and how to make sauerkraut and sour cream. You’ll walk away with a jar of each. So get along, and learn how to rescue that cabbage at the bottom of your crisper.

Time: 10am – 1pm
Location: YMCA Bush Capital Lodge
Cost: $80 per person
