Amazing Crace tops property awards

The suburb of Crace won the ACT Property Development of the Year at the Property Council’s annual ACT awards night and gala ball at the Great Hall of Parliament House weekend.

Executive director, Catherine Carter, said: “These awards celebrate an industry that is the ACT’s second largest employer, the single largest contributor to ACT taxes and a key driver of economic growth.

“From CIC Australia’s extraordinary achievement at Crace, which reinvents the Australian suburb, to Hindmarsh Development’s four decade commitment to building places for the people of Canberra, and from an up-and-coming property professional to two established leaders, this year’s winners remind us of the contribution that the property industry makes to the ACT.”

The award winners for 2014 are:

ACT Property Development of the Year, CIC Australia for the suburb of Crace.

ACT Property Business of the Year, Hindmarsh Development Australia.

Allan Wylucki Property Professional of the Year, Archie Tsirimokos, managing director, Meyer Vandenberg Lawyers.

ACT Future Leader of the Year, Chris Miller, national director of business development, Civium Strata.

Executive Director’s Award for Outstanding Contribution to the Property Council, Chris Collins, Principal, Point Project Management.
