fire brigade

FIREFIGHTERS have extinguished a small fire in an aquarium at a home on Macquoid Place, Kambah.

The aquarium was home to a pet python snake, approximately 60 cm in length that escaped from the tank during the fire.

The home sustained some damage to a near-by wall and the tank has been destroyed.

ACT Fire & Rescue is currently ventilating the home from smoke and estimate the damage to the home at $10,000.
