Queanbeyan highly commended

national trust winners

“MRS QUEANBEYAN” Nichole Overall has been in touch to let “CityNews” know her book Queanbeyan – City of Champions has been highly commended at the National Trust (NSW) Heritage Awards.

Hot on the heels of winning the Queanbeyan Heritage Award 2014 for Contribution to Local Heritage, author Nichole Overall says she, along with photographer Trudy Taylor and designer Dana Stewart-Thompson, were delighted to have the book acknowledged at this level.

“We’re absolutely thrilled that a project essentially meant for our own community has been recognised on such a stage. When you look at some of the nominations – everything from the complete overhaul of important heritage properties to a book on some of Sydney’s most significant buildings – to see our own city in such company is an honour,” Nichole said.
