RSPCA gets the nod to be Floriade’s charity

floriade 2013 (32)

ANDREW Barr has announced the RSPCA has the concession to rattle the tins at this year’s Floriade has gone to the RSPCA ACT.

“The animal welfare organisation, alongside another local charity which will be announced closer to the event, will enhance Floriade’s festival atmosphere and raise awareness of their important causes with unique experiences and an exciting one-off event,” Andrew said.

“While animals are not usually permitted to enter Floriade due to a risk of damaging the event’s flower beds, these rules will be relaxed for one day only to make way for a Dogs Day Out at Floriade on Tuesday 7 October.

“This exciting addition to the 2014 program will enable visitors to bring their four-legged canine friends to Floriade for the first time since the introduction of fencing in 1999.”
