The shopping trolleys, unshackled from coin return, pile up around the Legislative Assembly

WHILE Canberra’s eagle eyed rangers can apparently only find a rogue shopping trolley every few days “CityNews” seems to find it easier.

It is a rare monday morning when a quick scoot around the Legislative Assembly on London Circuit, the very seat of the ACT Government, doesn’t turn up a trolley within sight of the fabled golden pillars.

Intriguingly inspection of the coin return mechanism shows Canberra’s trolley dumpers have figured out how to liberate their $2 coins, which is a disturbing development.
