A short, sharp fire on Marcus Clarke Street

photo 2

“CITYNEWS” reader John has sent in a report of excitement outside the Ernst and Young building this lunch time:

There was a small concentrated fire outside 121 Marcus Clarke St (The Ernst and Young building) around 12:10 today due to a reckless cigarette butt flung into the base of a tree littered with seasonal dead leaves.

It was quickly extinguished by the Guru Coffee worker operating out of Chicken Gourmet, but the smoke display was quite spectacular.
