With spring comes the latest round of road resealing

TERRITORY and Municipal Services advise that with the onset of warmer weather, the ACT Government’s annual road resealing program kicks off today, starting with work on Paddy’s River Road, Tidbinbilla Road and Booroomba Road.

“The 2014/15 resealing program will see approximately 525,000 square metres of the ACT’s road network resealed,” Director, Roads ACT, Tony Gill said.

“The resealing program is an important part of the ongoing maintenance of Canberra’s roads.”

The major roads to be resealed as part of the program include:

  • Hindmarsh Drive
  • Drakeford Drive
  • Sulwood Drive
  • Glenloch Interchange
  • Parkes Way.

“The resealing work will take place in southern suburbs first. These include Gordon, Isabella Plains, Richardson, Holder, Curtin, Hughes, Weston and Theodore. The program will then move to the northern suburbs of Florey, Nicholls, O’Connor completed by April 2015.
