Suspicious Oxley house fire

A house fire in Oxley has been deemed suspicious and handed to ACT Policing for investigation.

About 4.15am this morning (Monday, May 19) police received a report of a house fire in Newman-Morris Circuit, Oxley.

ACT Fire and Rescue attended and extinguished the fire.

The fire damage was contained to the four-bedroom house and a car parked in the driveway. The roof of the house has partially collapsed.

As a result of the fire, the house and car have been completely destroyed.

Police are urging anyone who may have any information on the cause of the fire to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via www.act.crimestoppers.com.au. Information can be provided anonymously.
