Woman mugged in Reid

ACT Policing is seeking witnesses to an aggravated robbery which occurred in Reid today (Sunday, October 26).

Around 10.55am, a male with a knife approached a female at the back of Allawah Flats in Reid throwing her to the ground and dislodging her handbag. The male offender then grabbed the handbag and fled the scene.

He was last seen heading towards the Ainslie area.

The male offender is described as being Caucasian in appearance. He was wearing sunglasses, a purple hoody, black cap, jeans and had a black bandana style mask over his face.

Police are urging anyone who may have witnessed the incident, or has any information which may assist the investigation to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via www.act.crimestoppers.com.au. Information can be provided anonymously.
