Hendry takes top business lobby role

ROBYN Hendry is the new CEO of the Canberra Business Chamber. She replaces Chris Faulks.

New role... Robyn Hendry.
New role… Robyn Hendry.
Ms Hendry is the CEO of the Canberra Convention Bureau but will take up her new role on May 24.

“Robyn comes with a terrific Canberra knowledge as well as strong connections with the business and government communities, both at a territory and federal level,” says Canberra Business Chamber chairman, Glenn Keys.

“She has been critical in raising Canberra’s profile as a destination for business and events and has held a number of national roles, including president of Australian Association of Convention Bureau, and director of Business Event Council of Australia.”

Of the outgoing CEO, Kets said: “The business community is lucky to have had Chris Faulks to lead firstly the Canberra Business Council and then the newly combined Canberra Business Chamber over the last seven years.  She has been a fantastic representative for the business community, its issues, concerns and causes.   To now have Robyn Hendry take over the CEO mantle from Chris Faulks is a great result for everyone in Canberra business.”
