JS MURDOCH’S acoustically-perfect hall in Ainslie Arts Centre will be a test for Canberra Opera when it stages Puccini’s “La Bohème” from November 27 to December 6. Director Elisha Holley has set it in 1840, the time of the original story, depicting the characters as “an eclectic group of Bohemians”. Bookings via  eventbrite.com.au

THE 75-strong Warrani Chorale (Women’s Voices from the University of the Third Age Canberra) presents “A Gift of Song”, at Weston Creek Uniting Church, 16 Parkinson Street, Weston Creek, 10.30am, on  Wednesday, November 25. It will be the last concert for accompanist of 17 years, Barbara Hall. Admission by gold coin donation. Light refreshments included.
