QUEANBEYAN glass artist Matthew Curtis, creative fellow at Canberra Glassworks, is off schmoozing at the annual SOFA Sculpture Objects Functional Art and Design Fair in Chicago, where clever artists find well-paying international customers.

GOOD news that veteran Canberra artist Val Johnson has just been made a Fellow of the Royal Art Society of NSW. Describing herself as “over the moon”, she says: “It gives me an incentive to just keep painting”.
