Whitlam crash victims Bangladeshi tourists

THE trio who died in a horror crash in Whitlam over the weekend were Bangladeshi tourists, police have confirmed.

The three victims, a 61-year-old man, a 54-year-old woman, and a 21-year-old man were passengers in the red Toyota hatchback that collided with a white Toyota van collided on Coppins Crossing Road just south of Hazel Hawke Avenue around 2.45pm yesterday (October 15).

The driver of the hatchback and the driver of a white Toyota van were taken to hospital.

Police today confirmed that the three people killed in the crash were Bangladeshi nationals in Australia on tourist visas.
