Blunderbuss seized in Ngunnawal

DETECTIVES from ACT Policing’s Taskforce Nemesis executed a search warrant at a home in Ngunnawal on Friday (April 24), locating a firearm.

Acting on information received from a member of the public, detectives from Taskforce Nemesis executed the search warrant around 4pm.

Detectives located a sawn off shotgun and an amount of ammunition within the residence. The shotgun will now be forensically examined to determine if it has been used in any of the recent shooting incidents in the ACT.

Police remind members of the public to be vigilant as to the activities of OMCG’s in their area. Information can be provided anonymously and rewards may be issued for information that leads to an arrest and/or successful prosecution.
