Bonython SPAR robbed at knife point

ACT Policing is seeking witnesses to an aggravated robbery in Bonython on Sunday (21 June).

About 7.45pm, a man entered the SPAR Supermarket on Hurtle Avenue, Bonython. The man approached a staff member, demanding cash and holding a knife. The offender removed the till, containing cash, from the cash register and fled on foot. The man fled south, towards Bonython Primary School.

The man was described as being of Caucasian appearance and slim build, wearing a black jumper with a yellow hood, blue jeans and black shoes. The man had a white covering over his face.

ACT Policing and AFP Forensics attended and examined the scene. Police are seeking witnesses and CCTV in the area.

Police are urging anyone who may have witnessed the incident or have any information that could assist police to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via act.crimestoppers.com.au. Information can be provided anonymously.
