Canberra schools shining again in My School update

books

CANBERRA students continue to be among the highest performing in the country, as shown in the latest My School 2015 website update says Joy Burch.

Joy has welcomed the release of the 2015 My School website update that reinforced the strong performance of Canberra public schools.

“The My School website provides insight to help understand how individual schools are performing, and what their strengths are,” Joy said.

The website provides information about schools, including NAPLAN results, school priorities, staffing, resources, attendance rates and some financial and student performance data.

“Once again, Canberra students have set the bar high on the national stage demonstrating the quality and strength of our education system.”

ACT education highlights include:

  • ACT students excelled in reading – performing well above the national average; top or equal top in 19 of 20 areas tested in the 2014 NAPLAN.
  • 91 per cent of the 2012 to 2014 cohorts of ACT public school students had gains in reading the same as or above the gains of cohorts with the same start scores.

My School is now online at www.myschool.edu.au.
