Canberra’s Jewish community planning a Zionist council

JEWISH News has word that the local ACT Jewish Community is planning to set up a body called Zionism ACT intended to “formalise the local Jewish community’s ties with Israel”.

ACT Jewish Community (ACTJC). Vice-president Robert Cussel told The AJN, “We’ve never had a separate Zionist council here in the ACT, although we’ve always identified with the Zionist cause.”

The Zionist Federation of Australia has welcomed the move.
