Charnwood gas rupture

FIREFIGHTERS are currently on scene at Tillyard Drive, Charnwood, working to isolate a gas leak.

Gas rupture caused by workman and ACT Fire & Rescue is currently clamping the 50mm gas line.

Only the immediate area at the top Charnwood shopping centre has been evacuated whilst crews work to isolate the leak.

The gas leak has been isolated and ACT Fire & Rescue is departing the scene.

There are no injuries and the exclusion zone has been lifted.

Gas contractors will remain on scene to repair the gas line.
