Chisholm dope bust

ACT Policing has arrested and charged a 45-year-old Chisholm man for drug trafficking following a search warrant at his property yesterday, (16 December).

About 4.15pm, the Drugs and Organised Crime Team attended the man’s residence in Chisholm to execute a section 187 Drugs of Dependence Act 1989 search warrant.

The search resulted in the seizure of approximately 9.9 kilograms of dried cannabis head, most of which was vacuum packed in food storage bags.

Police also located and seized $22,000 in Australian currency, and a number of items associated with the sale and cultivation of cannabis.

About 8pm that evening, the man was arrested and transported to Tuggeranong Police Station where he underwent a number of forensic procedures.

He was conveyed to the Watch House and will appear in the ACT Magistrates Court this morning charged with trafficking in a trafficable quantity of cannabis.
