Cyclist killed on Uriarra Road

ACT Policing is responding to a road fatality involving a single cyclist on Uriarra Road, Coree ACT, this afternoon (April 1).

The 69-year-old cyclist from Barton died after he fell from his bicycle on Uriarra Road, about 2pm.

ACT Ambulance Service attended and provided the man with medical treatment before he was pronounced dead on the scene.

ACT Policing attended and will investigate the full circumstances surrounding the incident and the Collision Investigation and Reconstruction Team will prepare a report for the Coroner. At this time, police believe the collision may have been a result of a medical condition.

This marks the second road fatality in the ACT for 2015.
