Daramalan College getting ready for Anzac Day with poppies

A bright sea of handcrafted poppies will be on display at Daramalan College to commemorate the upcoming ANZAC day centenary.

The flowers, in their hundreds, will be placed in the school’s Round Garden thanks to the creative talents of students, parents, staff and the Dickson Library Wednesday Knitting group. Placed on bamboo garden stakes, the poppies have been made out of a variety of materials such as wool, paper and modelling clay.

Inspired by last year’s 5000 Poppy Project in Victoria, Daramalan’s version will be on display from Monday, April 27 to Friday, May 1.
