Don’t miss the Tidbinbilla Extravaganza

The annual Tidbinbilla Extravaganza is fast approaching with a day of free entertainment, live music, children’s activities and nature-based experiences held in the greatest venue of all, the great outdoors.

“This year’s Tidbinbilla Extravaganza will be held on Sunday October 11, from 10 am to 4 pm and will be a great way to spend time with the family in the beautiful setting of Tidbinbilla Nature Reserve,” Regional Manager, National Parks and Catchments, Brett McNamara, said.

“The Extravaganza will be packed with fun things to see and do, such as discovering wildlife in The Sanctuary and exploring Tidbinbilla’s vast range walking tracks, as well as a range of great entertainment for all ages.

“It will be a day of entertainment including live music, indigenous activities, a reptile display, pelican feeding, face painting, pioneer games and ranger-guided walks. It is a chance to spend time with the family while enjoying Tidbinbilla’s vast flora and fauna via its many walking tracks.

“I encourage Canberrans to come along to this great community event and experience what there is to see and do at Tidbinbilla. Pack a picnic, purchase some food from a variety of food vendors, or head to the Tidbinbilla Visitor Centre Kiosk for a sandwich or locally produced coffee.”

ACTION buses will transport event goers around the Reserve with pick up points at Sheedys, Dalsetta, The Sanctuary, Visitor Information Centre and Rock Valley.
