Dragons Abreast Canberra Corporate & Social dragon boat regatta

THE 2015 Dragons Abreast Canberra Corporate & Social dragon boat regatta is looking for entrants.

The Regatta is being held at Grevillea Park on Saturday October 17.

This is the Dragons’ major fundraiser for the year, they also donate monies to various breast cancer organisations and to the local Eden Monaro Cancer Support Group.

There are normally 25-30 teams competing in this event from Government Departments, local schools and other sporting groups.

To enter you will need:

  • Entry fee of $900 per boat ($45 pp for 20 paddlers)
  • No more than 10 men in the boat at one time, with a minimum age of 12
  • A superhero themed team name and chant

The Dragons will give you two training sessions leading up to the event, and a level 3 sweep to steer you to victory on the day.

Each team gets 2 heats and a final, with a theme this year of Superheroes.

Rotary North will run a BBQ throughout the day, with Cafe2U vans on site, and a Dragons Abreast cake stall and merchandise stall.
