ACT Fire & Rescue has responded to reports of an explosion in Fyshwick.
A fire crew from Fyshwick Fire Station responded to the scene in Lithgow Street shortly after the incident was reported to Emergency Triple Zero (000) at 12:31pm.
They arrived at a scrap metal business to find an oxy acetylene cyclinder had exploded then started a small fire which had already been extinguished by the occupants.

The ACT Ambulance Service has confirmed no one was injured in the explosion and subsequent fire.
ACT Fire & Rescue will refer the incident to WorkSafe ACT for investigation.
