Fatal collision in Farrer this morning

ACT POLICING is investigating a two-vehicle collision in Farrer this morning (Thursday 17 December) in which a male driver has died.

About 11.55am, police responded to a report of a collision on Yamba Drive, Farrer.

ACT Ambulance Service arrived at the scene and commenced CPR on the male driver, however he could not be revived.

A passenger in the deceased vehicle, along with the driver and passenger of the second vehicle received injuries in the collision and were transported The Canberra Hospital.

ACT Policing’s Collision Investigation and Reconstruction Team (CIRT) are examining the circumstances surrounding the collision. A report will be prepared for the Coroner.

This is the twelfth fatality on Canberra’s roads this year.

Police are urging anyone who may have witnessed the incident and has not yet spoken to police to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via act.crimestoppers.com.au.
