Fire at the War Memorial

FIREFIGHTERS are currently at the Australian War Memorial, Treloar Crescent, Campbell following a small electrical fire with a single portable tablet in a small storage office space.

The portable tablet extinguished itself and was removed from the area by ACT Fire & Rescue.

Approximately 100 people have been evacuated from the Western Front exhibit as a precaution.

No damage to the area.

Two fire pumpers and the Hazardous Material Unit are on scene and firefighters are now ventilating the small area affected.

Crews were notified following an Automatic Fire Alarm at 3.31pm.
