BREAK as many plates as you can for the 2015 Greek Glendi at the National Multicultural Festival this Sunday.

This year, the Greek Community of Canberra and the Greek Glendi Committee will premier the Greek Street Party.

Festivalgoers can see live performances from The Canberra Hellenic Dancers, famous Greek magician Sankara and enjoy the music of The Best Bouzouki.

There’s also a chance to get involved in a plate breaking competition at 2:30pm and a Loukoumathes (Greek doughnuts) eating competition at 4pm.

Celebrity host, George Kapiniaris will headline the festivities with his own comedy stylings about how being Greek is something to be celebrated.

An abundance of food will be available, offering such Greek and Cypriot delicacies as calamari, lamb kontosouvli, grilled halloumi and loukanika.

Greek Glendi is on Stage 8, in Garema Place from 12-5pm on Sunday 15 February.
