Homicide in Calwell

ACT Policing is treating the death of a woman in Calwell this afternoon (Saturday, February 28) as a homicide.

Police were called to the Duggan St apartment block around 4.40pm, responding to reports of a disturbance at the location.

Upon attending, police found a female victim who had suffered critical injuries and was deceased.

A crime scene was established at the location and a homicide investigation was commenced. A man found at the scene was taken into custody by police and conveyed to the ACT Watch House. AFP Forensics Crime Scene Investigators are making a thorough examination of the crime scene.

Charges are yet to be laid, with enquiries ongoing.

Police are urging anyone who may have witnessed the incident or can provide information and have not yet spoken to police to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via https://act.crimestoppers.com.au. Information can be provided anonymously.
