Latham Handy Mart robbed

ACT Policing Criminal Investigation detectives are investigating an aggravated robbery that occurred in Latham last night (Monday, 10 August 2015).

Around 7:15pm, a man entered the Latham Handy Mart on Wanliss Street, Latham and produced what appeared to be a small firearm while making demands for cash.

The employee complied with the demands and the man fled the store with the cash. No one was injured during the robbery.

The man can be described as around 168cm (5’6”) to 170cm (5’7”) in height with a slim build.

At the time of the robbery the man was wearing a dark fabric face covering, heavy beige/camel coloured tradesman’s cargo pants and a beige/camel coloured top.

Police are urging anyone who may have been in the area around Wanliss Street, Latham at the time and may have noticed suspicious activity to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or via the website act.crimestoppers.com.au. Information may be provided anonymously.
