M16 calls for exhibiting artists

CURATORS and individual artists from Canberra, interstate and overseas are encouraged to submit proposals for consideration for the 2016 gallery program across M16’s three gallery spaces.

M16, housed in the expansive space at 21 Blaxland Crescent, Griffith that used to be the old Griffith Library, is planning for an ‘innovative and contemporary’ exhibition program’ in 2016 and wants to hear from innovative and contemporary’ artists with ideas for shows.

M16 runs 3 gallery spaces, manages 27 artists studios and houses four community arts organisations that offer art classes. It’s a not-for-profit organisation whose gallery program is supported by arts ACT through the ACT Arts Fund.

Applications are due at 5pm on May 15 and applicants will be notified by June 12. The application form and information about M16’s galleries are available at m16artspace.com.au/hire-spaces/galleries
