Man glassed outside Braddon’s Hopscotch

ACT Policing is seeking witnesses to an assault on Lonsdale Street, Braddon, during the early hours of Saturday morning (February 21).

About 1.30am, a man was involved in a physical altercation inside the Hopscotch bar on Lonsdale Street, Braddon. On exiting the venue, the man was assaulted by a second person using broken glass as a weapon.

The victim attended The Canberra Hospital for medical treatment and reported the incident to police.

Police are seeking witnesses along with CCTV footage from the area.

Police are urging anyone who witnessed the assault inside Hopscotch or outside on Lonsdale Street about 1.30am on Saturday to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via act.crimestoppers.com.au. Information can be provided anonymously.
