McKellar shooting

ACT Policing is investigating a shooting incident which occurred early this morning in McKellar (Wednesday 29 July).

About 9.30am, police received a report that a vehicle had been damaged overnight while parked in the driveway of a home on Burns Circuit, McKellar. Police believe the incident occurred about 4.10am.

ACT Policing Criminal Investigations established a crime scene at the location this morning and observed damage to a vehicle and a tree. Police are canvassing the area for witness and any available CCTV. AFP Forensic Services attended to examine the scene.

A portion of Burns Circuit has been closed while police process the crime scene.

Police are urging anyone who may have witnessed the incident or have any information that could assist police to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via act.crimestoppers.com.au. Information can be provided anonymously. We remind people they should not report crime information via our Facebook and Twitter pages.
