Mugged in Braddon

ACT Policing detectives are investigating an aggravated robbery that occurred in Braddon on Monday, 16 November.

At around 12.50pm, a woman standing on Currong Street North (near the intersection on Donaldson Street) was approached by a man holding a large knife.

The man made demands for the woman’s handbag and mobile phone, the woman complied with those demands and the man fled the scene.

Police attended and searched the area however the male offender could not be located. Thankfully, no one was injured during the robbery.

The male offender is described as a teenager of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander appearance, around 183cm (6’0”) tall and of slim build. He was wearing a light coloured t-shirt, dark pants and had a light coloured cloth across his face during the robbery.
