ACT Fire & Rescue is responding to reports of multiple garages on fire in an apartment complex in Discovery Street Red Hill.

ACT Fire & Rescue crews arrived on scene to find several garages attached to the apartment complex alight.
Firefighters managed to contain the fire to the garages, preventing it from spreading to nearby homes and are working to fully extinguish it.
No evacuations were necessary.

The fire has been extinguished.
Four garages were impacted by the fire. One of the garages contained a ute which was also damaged.
The initial estimated damage bill is $50,000.
The cause will be investigated.
