Music at Midday is calling local charities

CANBERRA Theatre Centre is calling for nominations of suitable charities to be part of the 2016 “Music at Midday” series.

MIDDAY

The popularity of “Music at Midday” has grown to such an extent that the concert is performed both at 11am and 12.30pm, six times a year. Entry is always via a gold coin donation for collection by the chosen charity, with over $10,400 raised for local charities in 2014.

The charity is spoken about during the concert, and to increase exposure, the charity is also encouraged to arrange an informative display in the theatre foyer.

This celebration of the Big Band sound has grown from its humble beginnings in 1993. 22 years on, it attracts thousands of Canberra residents to each concert.

Entries close on Monday, November 9. To nominate your charity or not for profit organisation, download the application from canberratheatrecentre.com.au
