“It is vital that the Framework reflects the ACT Government’s continuing commitment to the arts by providing a structure within which future arts policy will be developed, while guiding the implementation and review of existing policy and programs,”

“As part of this process, artsACT will also conduct a thorough analysis of the ACT arts sector and current and future needs to identify gaps, strengths and weaknesses,” Ms Burch said.

The members of the group are:

David Williams, Childers Group

Gavin Findlay, Music ACT

Joseph Falsone, Ainslie and Gorman Arts Centres

David Broker, Canberra Contemporary Art Space

Rosanna Stevens, researcher and writer, and

Jacqueline Lo, ANU

Public consultation on the ACT Arts Policy Framework will begin in February. For more information, visit arts.act.gov.au
