‘One Punch’ attack in Civic

ACT Policing is investigating a one punch assault that occurred on Mort Street in Braddon in the early hours of Sunday 3 May.

About 1.47am police were approached by a male who informed them a male had been knocked out near the intersection of Mort Street and Bunda Street.

Police arrived on the scene where they found the male laying on his back unconscious with his head on the road.

ACT Ambulance Service attended and transported the victim to The Canberra Hospital where he was being treated for a head injury.

The offender is described as a Caucasian man, between 5’6” and 6’ tall (168cm – 183cm), with brown hair, wearing a white T-shirt, blue denim shirt and tan pants.

Police are urging anyone who may have witnessed the incident or who can identify the offender to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via act.crimestoppers.com.au. Information can be provided anonymously. Police remind people they should not report crime information via Facebook and Twitter pages.
