Page siege ends with arrest of Kambah man

ACT Policing has arrested a 27-year-old Kambah man following a negotiated surrender in Page this afternoon (7 July).

About 12pm, ACT Policing responded to an incident in Page involving a man located within a house. As a result, areas of Petterd Street, Page, were closed down.

The ACT Policing response, along with members of AFP Specialist Response Group, resulted in the peaceful negotiated surrender of the man.

About 2.50pm, the man was arrested for multiple breaches of bail conditions.

During the incident, police held no concerns for public safety. No evacuations were required.

ACT Policing would like to thank the public for their patience during road closures relating to this operation. All roads are now open.
