Police seeking witnesses to Belconnen Soccer Club robbery

ACT Policing is renewing its appeal for witnesses to the aggravated robbery of the Belconnen Soccer Club in McKellar on Saturday, 1 August 2015.

About 11.07pm, a single male offender entered the club armed with a small handgun. Five patrons were exiting the club when the offender entered and rushed past them to the front counter.

The offender immediately jumped the counter and threatened the male employee with the handgun, demanding money. The employee complied and he offender fled the club on foot.

The offender is described as male with slim build, carrying a black handgun.

ACT Policing has released CCTV footage of the robbery and urge anyone who may be able to identify the offender to contact Crime Stoppers.

Anyone with information regarding this incident is urged to contact Crime Stoppers anonymously on 1800 333 000 or via act.crimestoppers.com.au, quoting reference number 5837427.

Police remind people they should not report crime information via Facebook and Twitter pages.
