The Rocky Knob playground to re-open

Shane Rattenbury

SHANE Rattenbury says the Rocky Knob playground in Narrabundah will be remediated and reopened to the public in the coming weeks.

“Recent advice from an independent safety inspection of the Rocky Knob playground found that it posed a number of safety risks to the community and the playground was slated for closure as a result,” Shane said.

“Following some community feedback about the decision to close the playground, I visited the park earlier this week.

“I asked TAMS to investigate the specific safety issues more closely in order to determine whether these issues could be rectified at a reasonable cost rather than removing the playground.

“I am pleased to announce that, as a result, it was determined that the identified safety issues could be rectified and the playground will be re-opened.

The park will remain closed over the coming weeks while the safety issues are remediated.
